| Dave Tipler , P. Eng., B.Eng. - Partner | |||||||||
| After graduating from McMaster
University with a degree in engineering, Dave Tipler joined
the firm and has never looked back. Dave spent a year on site from
1988 to 1989 at One Toronto Street reviewing the structural
construction of a 15-storey office tower and a 17 storey residential
building with 3 levels of underground parking. The cost of
construction was estimated at about 40 million dollars. After returning to the office he integrated the knowledge gained at site into his structural designs. In
addition, he developed computer design programs and computer
programs for structural drafting that can still be considered to be
state of the art today. He has designed 'big box' buildings,
university buildings in the Middle East, and shopping centres
throughout Canada. He developed the Canadian prototypical
structural drawings for Wal-Mart stores currently being constructed
across the country.In 1997, he started work on a 300 million dollar renovation and expansion to the Chinook Shopping Centre in Calgary, Alberta. The project lasted more than three years. The Chinook Centre has become one of the most successful shopping centres in Canada. In 1998, Dave Tipler became a partner at Banerjee & Associates Ltd. |
