- A medium sized structural
engineering consulting office seeking intermediate structural
engineers for the design of commercial, industrial and
residential buildings including single storey retail buildings,
"big box" buildings, shopping centres, office buildings and
apartments/condos.
- Duties include, design of
reinforced concrete, structural steel, wood and masonry
structures, site inspections, coordination and review of
drawings, attend project meetings, and project
management/administration.
- Engineers to be knowledgeable in
design of concrete and steel structures using the latest
building codes. Autocad drafting and working knowledge in
computer design programs is not required but considered an
asset.
- All Candidates must have a
minimum of 3 years of Canadian design experience (preferably a
minimum of 5 years) and have a general understanding of Canadian
construction practices.
- Candidates to be bright,
conscientious, dependable and have good communication skills.
- Engineers must be able to work
with architects, owners, contractors, and other consultants.
- Engineers must be able to lead
the structural design of $1M to $30M projects from inception
through design development to tender, and be able to manage the
project through the construction phase.

- A Markham based medium sized consulting engineering office seeking a junior building science (civil) engineer.
- Duties include on site investigations, technical reports, project management, and structural evaluation for a number of building science and restoration projects.
- Engineer to be knowledgeable in restoration, roofing and water proofing. The design of concrete, steel, masonry and timber structures and the use of the latest building codes will also be required.
